Rooted Resilience: Advancing Climate-Smart, Food-Secure Territories in Western Honduras

番茄社区 the Project

Rooted Resilience is a three-year project aimed at strengthening climate-smart, food-secure coffee production systems in Western Honduras鈥檚 Dry Corridor, a region highly exposed to climate change, price volatility and food insecurity. Led by CAFESCOR, the project will directly benefit 728 cooperative members and reach an additional 3,028 smallholder producers by promoting diversified agroecological systems, improved climate resilience, and stronger market integration.

The project combines productivity and sustainability investments with innovation and inclusion, including digital traceability systems, precision agriculture tools to monitor canopy cover and carbon performance, renewable energy solutions, and restoration of degraded areas. It also supports rural economic diversification through women- and youth-led enterprises, business incubation, strengthened governance, and expanded access to financial and digital management systems, including ERP tools and improved market access in Europe.
